S.A. Ibrahim is chief executive officer of Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN). Headquartered in Philadelphia, Radian provides private mortgage insurance and products and services to the mortgage and real estate industries. Radian is one of the largest private mortgage insurers of U.S. residential mortgages, and its mortgage and real estate services segment is a leader in each of its industries.

Despite the recent challenge of one of the worst economic and housing-related downturns, through Mr. Ibrahim’s leadership, Radian has maintained a relatively strong financial position -- with total assets of over $6 billion and stockholders' equity of more than $2.8 billion. Radian doubled its private mortgage insurance market share during the downturn writing a leading share of today’s high-quality business while continually strengthening the management team. Radian today is an industry leader in insurance in force.

In 2014, Radian sold its financial guaranty business, Radian Asset Assurance Corp., to Assured Guaranty Ltd for approximately $810 million. Under Mr. Ibrahim’s leadership, the financial guaranty business was one of only two financial guarantors in the U.S. to successfully survive the financial crisis in 2007. Radian continues to focus on future success and has acquired Clayton Holdings, a leading mortgage services provider, further broadening and strengthening its growing franchise.

Prior to joining Radian, Mr. Ibrahim was the CEO of GreenPoint Mortgage Funding based in Novato, California. Under his leadership, GreenPoint Mortgage transformed itself from a small mortgage originator to one of the leading U.S. mortgage originators. In 2002, GreenPoint Mortgage was selected by a group of international business leaders as the winner of the Wharton Infosys Business Transformation award for North America. GreenPoint Mortgage was also a pioneer in business process outsourcing.

Mr. Ibrahim's experience also includes heading international reengineering for American Express, being the CEO of Chemical Mortgage as well as working at Bank of America and General Electric Company. Mr. Ibrahim has served on various boards, including the Fannie Mae National Advisory Board and the Mortgage Bankers Association Board of Governors. Currently, he serves on the Board of Trustees of the Wharton Graduate Board, the Academy of the University of Pennsylvania, the Inter Faith Youth Corp, Chicago, the Philadelphia Anti Defamation League, the Auburn (Presbyterian) Seminary, New York and the Center of Interreligious Understanding. He was an advisor to the White House team on President Obama's 2009 Cairo speech and was a keynote speaker at the Presidential Entrepreneurial Summit in Washington in April 2010.

Mr. Ibrahim, through his family foundation is an active supporter of various educational and interfaith programs including the Ibrahim Middle East Program. He is also an active angel investor in many start-up consumer products, real estate and technology related companies.

Mr. Ibrahim holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania and a BE in Engineering from Osmania University in India.

Teresa Bryce

Teresa Bryce Bazemore is President of Radian Guaranty Inc., Radian Group Inc.’s principal mortgage insurance subsidiary. As President, Ms. Bazemore is responsible for all domestic and international mortgage insurance business operations.

Prior to her appointment as President, Ms. Bazemore was the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer and Secretary for Radian Group, a global credit risk management company. Prior to that, as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Nexstar Financial Corporation and Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs for MBNA Home Finance (after the MBNA acquisition of Nexstar), Ms. Bazemore was responsible for legal, compliance, quality assurance, credit policy, insurance and governmental affairs matters in addition to her corporate secretarial duties. Ms. Bazemore also served as General Counsel of Bank of America Mortgage, General Counsel of PNC Mortgage, a subsidiary of PNC Bank and as Associate General Counsel at Prudential Home Mortgage. She began her legal career as an associate at Piper & Marbury (now DLA Piper) after serving as a law clerk to Chief Justice Robert Wilentz of the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Ms. Bazemore is on the Board of the US Mortgage Insurers. She serves on the Mortgage Bankers Board of Directors and on the Mortgage Bankers Residential Board of Governors. Ms. Bazemore has also previously served as a member of the Economic Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Consumer Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve, the Fannie Mae National Advisory Council, the Home Builders Institute, the Advisory Committee of the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators as well as Board Chair of the Research Institute for Housing America.

In 2013, Mortgage Banking Magazine named Ms. Bazemore one of the Top 20 Leading Industry Women. In 2011, Housing Wire magazine named Ms. Bazemore as one of the Influential Women in the Housing Economy and the Philadelphia Business Journal honored Ms. Bazemore with its 14th Annual Women of Distinction Award. In 2010, Black Enterprise Magazine named Ms. Bazemore one of the 75 Most Powerful Women in Business. She was also a recipient of the 2010 Smart CEO Magazine Brava! Women Business Achievement Award. Ms. Bazemore received the 2005 Mortgage Banker’s Distinguished Service Award and the 2001 Distinguished Service Award from the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators, the 2001 Stakeholder Award from The Charting Your Own Course Foundation, the 1999 State and Local MBA Service Award and the 1993 Leadership Lending Award from Prudential Home Mortgage. In 2004, she was chosen as one of the 40 Most Influential Women in St. Louis by the St. Louis Business Journal.

Currently, Ms. Bazemore serves on the Board of Directors of the Kimmel Center, Inc., the Board of Directors of Public Media Company, the Board and Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors for WHYY, the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the Board of the University of Virginia Foundation and of the Columbia Law School Assocation. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Columbia University School of Law.

Jeff Tennyson

In this role, Mr. Tennyson is responsible for the overall operating results of the company. Jeff Tennyson joined Clayton in February 2015 as Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for all of Clayton's U.S. business units including: Transaction Management, Clayton Consulting, Surveillance, Commercial Due Diligence and Green River Capital.

Mr. Tennyson is the former Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of B2R Finance, (a Blackstone Group sponsored company), a leading provider of residential buy-to-rent mortgages for property investors. Prior to B2R, he was the chief executive officer of Strategic Lending Group and Managing Director of Strategic Growth Bank where he was responsible for the leadership and direction of the residential mortgage enterprise. Prior to SGB, Mr. Tennyson, was the Chief Executive Officer of Charlotte, NC based EquiFirst Corporation (a Barclays subsidiary) in addition to being a Managing Director of Barclays Capital. EquiFirst was a national non-agency mortgage lender and under Jeff’s leadership, EquiFirst grew from start-up to being a top 15 national lender with over 1,400 employees and originating over $12 billion annually in residential mortgage production.

Mr. Tennyson is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a business degree from Harding University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

J. Franklin Hall

As chief financial officer, Mr. Hall is responsible for all financial functions, including regulatory and management reporting, financial planning and analysis, capital planning, acquisition integration, tax and treasury and facilities at Radian Group Inc. He has more than two decades of leadership and experience in these areas as well as investor relations, corporate development and wealth management. 

Prior to joining Radian, Mr. Hall was executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of First Financial Bancorp. He joined First Financial in 1999 and served in a variety of leadership roles. Mr. Hall began his career with Ernst & Young and later joined Firstar Bank (now US Bank) in their credit card division. 

Mr. Hall earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University and an MBA from Xavier University.

Derek Brummer

Derek Brummer is the chief risk officer of Radian Group Inc. In this role, Mr. Brummer is responsible for all aspects of the risk management strategy and framework, as well as evaluating credit policy, for Radian and its subsidiaries.

Mr. Brummer joined Radian in 2002 and has served as chief risk officer and general counsel for Radian Asset Assurance Inc., where he managed all risk and legal matters for the financial guaranty company and its insured portfolio. Mr. Brummer led all risk management strategy, overseeing portfolio surveillance, reserving, quantitative analytics and modeling, and directing restructurings and workouts. He also played a key role in developing and structuring new product lines and overseeing various underwriting committees. Prior to joining Radian, Mr. Brummer was a corporate associate at Allen & Overy; and Cravath, Swaine & Moore, both in New York.

Mr. Brummer holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Ted Hoffman

As general counsel and corporate secretary, Ted Hoffman is responsible for legal and regulatory compliance.

Since joining Radian in 2005, Mr. Hoffman has managed SEC, NYSE and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, corporate governance and other corporate related matters. Mr. Hoffman was promoted to senior vice president, Assistant General Counsel in February 2008. Prior to joining Radian, Mr. Hoffman was a senior associate in the Corporate and Securities Group of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in Philadelphia.

Mr. Hoffman holds a BA from Colgate University and a JD from Villanova University School of Law. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.

Cathy Jackson

As corporate controller, Cathy Jackson is responsible for all financial reporting and accounting operations, including SEC reporting, accounting policy, financial guaranty and mortgage insurance accounting operations.

Ms. Jackson has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She joined Radian after serving eight years with Capmark Financial Group Inc. in various positions. Most recently, Ms. Jackson served as chief accounting officer, where she had oversight of all internal and external financial reporting, accounting operations, pricing analytics and accounting policy. Prior to that, she served eight years with Salomon Smith Barney as manager of accounting policy. She started her career in the audit practice at KPMG in Philadelphia.

Ms. Jackson earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. Joseph's University.

Rick Altman

As the Chief Information Officer, Rick is responsible for coordination of technology across the organization, focused on aligning IT objectives and programs to enterprise strategies.  Rick is also responsible for managing Radian’s information security program.

Mr. Altman previously held the positions of chief operating officer, chief risk officer and chief administrative officer, as well as several other strategic planning and operationally oriented positions.

Before joining Radian in 2003, Mr. Altman held several executive strategic planning and operational positions at Citibank, American Express and Pearson. Prior to that, he served as a change management consultant with Accenture.

Mr. Altman received a BA in International Political Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia.
